Saint Peter's Feast Day 2010 |
On Tuesday the 29th of June, all of the students and faculty of Assumption College, Bangrak were happy to celebrate the Feast Day of Saint Peter, the patron saint of Brother Anant Prichavudhi (the Director of Assumption College, Bangkok) and Brother Sakda Sakonthawat (Assisstant Director). The celebration began with 4 students reading a special greeting to the brothers in 4 different languages: Chinese, French, English, and Thai. This made quite an impression on the crowd, and many applauded following each reading. Following these readings, Brother Pisutr Vapiso (Vice Director of the school) and Brother Thinnakorn Boonsawang (Assistant Director) went up to the stage to present flowers and extend their warm greetings and best wishes. Next, several faculty members and students went up to present gifts from the various school departments. Brother Anant and Brother Sakda looked very happy during this time, and Brother Anant concluded the meeting with a special speech to the entire assembly.
In honor of this special occasion, the school provided free ice cream to all students and staff members, and naturally the students were very excited about this.
We in EP would also like to say "Congratulations!" to Brothers Anant and Sakda, and we would like to thank them for all that they have done for our school!
