The EP-M6 Class of 2009 University Entrance Results!
On behalf of Brother Pisutr - the Head of EP - and all EP staff members, I would like to give you this special message. We have recently seen the final numbers showing how many of our students have gained entrance into universities both here and abroad, and we are very proud of them! Out of a total of 67 EP-M6 students from last year, we have received detailed reports on 64 of them. Of those, 61 have chosen to attend excellent schools here in Thailand, while 3 have been accepted to universities abroad. We have watched the progress of most of our students since their EP-M1 year and we knew all along that they could accomplish great things if they wanted to! As you will see, our students were accepted into many very prestigious programs! First, here is a breakdown for you showing the faculties that our former students chose:

It is natural to see a lot of our students studying business-related topics, since many of our students come from families which are independent business owners, but the largest number of students for any one faculty will study Engineering. This shows what a diverse group we have, and that our program is designed to prepare our students for anything they choose to do.

To these former students of ours, we would like to say:
Now that you have been accepted into the university of your choice, please remember that you are still an Assumption man! Assumption will always be part of your identity wherever you go, and we will always be a part of your family. As you begin this new stage in your life, please do your very best so that you will bring honor to yourself, to Assumption, and to your family. Also, please stay in touch with us to tell us about your successes so that we can celebrate with you, let us know if there is anything we can ever do to help you because Brother Pisutr and our staff members really care about you and won't forget you!
To the parents of these students, we would like to say:
As you know, your son is now beginning a new phase of his life. This phase will be both exciting and difficult. The excitement comes from the fact that his learning environment will be new, as will be many of his friends; it seems that everything is possible! The difficulties will come from the fact that he will have to make many changes in his life. His studies will seem harder, and making new friends will sometimes be a challenge too. Normally, as long as your son is happy in his friendships, he will have a good chance of excelling academically. This is one of the biggest adjustments that a teenager usually has to make, leaving the comfortable high school environment and becoming more responsible and independent. Therefore, try to stay attuned to your son's feelings as he tackles all of these challenges, and be ready to listen and provide encouragement whenever he needs it. Talk to him often, and celebrate his accomplishments.
Stephen Cheek - Assistant Head of EP
