ENG POEM

A New H.O.C. for English Has Just Been Appointed! Print

Hello, my name is William Barnes. I am the new Head of the English Content Group. I have been teaching at Assumption College for two years now. Before that, I had been teaching for another 5 years, both in Thailand and New Zealand.

As well as making sure that the teachers in the English Content Group are able to do the best job possible, I also hope to continue to raise the profile of English as a subject amongst the students. Thanks to the good work of the previous Heads of Content, English is already seen as very important but through competitions (like the poetry, creative writing and Mothers' Day contests) the Cambridge exams (KET and PET) and other initiatives in class, I believe we can make the students in the English Program even more enthusiastic about English, the international language.
